I can never think of anything clever to put here

There had been so much smoke the last couple days that we decided to bring our dogs inside. Now the only problem is I HIGHLY doubt my daughter will let us put them back outside. When we take them out to even potty she starts to scream. Anyways, I thought I would jump on and share a ton of pics I've taken over the last few days

The moon

If you don't take into account the fires then it was a beautiful night! I decided to snap a few pics of the moon with my zoom lens. I couldn't believe how much detail I could see with a simple 75-300mm lens!

WOW

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I was looking at some old pictures from back when I had a point and shoot, and all I can say is WOW!!! I never realized how much point and shoots SUCK until going back now and relooking at all those pictures! I could only pick out a handfull that were focused on the correct thing! It seemed that 99% of them were focused on the area directly behind what I wanted them focused on. And funny thing is some of those pictures I remember REALLY loving! Now looking back all I can say is man Point and shoots suck, and I don't think I can ever use one again! LOL

Earth, Wind and Fire

No I am not referring to a band, I am referring to the weather. Today has been a MISERABLY windy day, and because I live in Southern California that means that it is extremely dry which results in FIRES. There are 12 fires nearby, and I feel for the families that have to be evacuated, and I thank God that we didn't move to the mountains last year when we thought about buying a house up that way.

I went to the high school I work at this morning to find most of the trees blown over and the rest flailing about wildly, I decided it would be best not to park next to a tree. Then upon leaving from work, I come to find sheet metal flying through the campus entrance. Visions of being impaled had me quickly going the other way. On my way home from work I saw about 3 camper-shells strewn about the side of the freeway, again I had visions of being impaled and decided it would be best to switch lanes. Then, because of all of the debri everywhere, I started to worry that possibly our big old pepper tree may have blown over; so I decided to call home. Of course no one answered, thus making me drive the 20 minutes home fearing for the worst. I finally arrive home after what seems like a 3 hour drive to find it completely calm, no wind, no fire, no tree blown over landing on our home, just calm completely calm! I go inside to find my overgrown husband asleep on the couch, with my infant son asleep in his swing and my little girl quietly watching cartoons. And then it dawns on me, aww to be a mother and to worry so. I am quite aware that I am a bit paranoid. A tad of a worry wart, and a bit hasty in thinking the worst; but I suppose this comes with the territory. After all, I still remember telling my own mother not to worry so much.


Now on to the show! I did yet another engagement session on Saturday for a very sweet and adorable couple. Here are some of my captures.

BEYOND TIRED

Well I had a photoshoot today. It went okay, it was just a small little halloween shoot for one of the ladies in my mommy group. Her lil girl was adorable and she TOWERED over lil rory! I guess rory really is small :\ oh well.

Sunday's Engagement Session

I did an engagement session on Sunday. They were a sweet couple, although I think I made the guy a little nervous! hahah I can only imagine, hiring me! Here I am in my red car with my HUGE magnets on the side advertising Photos By Jenilee, I get out of the car looking like I'm all of 15. Not to mention I have a bit of a cold and was drugged up on dayquil, and when you put all of that together it makes me a TOTAL ditz! I got several shots, I just hope that they like them! I can't wait to see what they decide to get printed!

Here goes nothing!

I have been informed that ALL photographers need a blog. Seeing how I NEVER want to disappoint an endearing friend or fan here is mine :)

I feel as though I should start by telling you a bit about myself. Well first off my name is Jenilee pronounced Jenny Lee, I know my name is different but this is what happens when your parents want to throw an extra name into the mix without giving you two middle names. I am 25 years old although I am told on a regular basis that I look all of 14. I have two gorgeous babies, whom I am sure I will be posting a lot of, you may get sick of seeing their little faces, but seeing as I never do, I will continue to post their pictures. I have a daughter named Aurora although I will most likely always refer to her as Rory, she is 21 months old and hitting those terrible two's with a passion! I also have a son, his name is Logan and he is 4 months old, he is the happiest baby on earth, and no one can tell me otherwise! I love both of my children with all of my heart, they are the light of my life, and a lot of my inspiration. I also have a wonderful husband, William, who can irritate the snot out of me at times, but I wouldn't trade him for anything or anyone.

Besides my family my passion is photography. Granted I am passionate about a lot of things, photography is the steadfast in my life. I try to take at least a few pictures daily, although sometimes life catches up with me and this doesn't always happen. Well I can't think of much else to say so I suppose I will start this thing off with a bang and post some pics of my children
