If you don't take into account the fires then it was a beautiful night! I decided to snap a few pics of the moon with my zoom lens. I couldn't believe how much detail I could see with a simple 75-300mm lens!
I thought it would be fun to add a little contrast into this picture to show off the moon's craters

that is what I want to do, be able to take pics of the moon that come out like this or of the mountians far off, get the scorch marks, but with my crappy camera the moon looks like a lightless dot and the mountians a big blob of brown!!!!
